About of budrugana.ge : Budrugana Gagra is a Georgian State Hand Shadow Theatre founded in Tbilisi in 1982 by Gela Kandelaki. Initially conceived as a puppet theater to tour regions of Georgia and perform for children, the company adapted due to funding limitations. Following advice from puppeteer Karlo Sulakauri, the actors began practicing with hand shadows as a creative alternative. The theatre's repertoire includes performances like 'The Four Seasons of the Year' and 'Mattei's Passions'. It represents a unique form of artistic expression within Georgia's cultural landscape.
