About of georgianart.ge : This website belongs to the Georgian National Center for Research on the History and Protection of Georgian Art, named after Giorgi Chubynashvili. It publishes an electronic journal called Ars Georgica, which focuses on new and contemporary art issues. The journal primarily covers the history of contemporary Georgian art and related artistic and aesthetic problems. Previously, Ars Georgica was a collection of scientific works from the institute, with volumes published between 1942 and 2001. The electronic edition has revived the B series of the journal, dedicated to new and contemporary Georgian art. The archive will eventually include articles from older A and B series volumes that discuss contemporary Georgian art.
