The company successfully completed the construction of the Paravani Hydro Electric Power Plant (Paravani HEPP) in August 2014 and began electricity generation and operation in October 2014. The Paravani HPP was inaugurated on October 11th, 2014. GUE is majority-owned by Anadolu Kafkasya Enerji Yatırımları Anonim Şirketi, a subsidiary of Anadolu Endustri Holding A.S., with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) holding a minority stake.
