About of vec.ge : VEC.GE, the Visual Education Centers, is an initiative by the Tbilisi Photo Festival. It focuses on decentralizing educational and artistic activities across various regions of Georgia. These centers are equipped with mediatek libraries, including photo books, multimedia archives, and photo archives. They aim to create alternative educational resources using visual storytelling techniques. The project specifically targets empowering minority groups in Georgia through innovative and alternative education methods based on photography and visual expression. VEC.GE also includes the Tbilisi Museum of Photography and Multimedia, which is the first institution in Georgia dedicated to contemporary imagery in all its forms, including photo, new media, and video.
